| :) The rule in limited street states that cars have to have inner fenders and can be fiberglass. My question is do they have to be factory type or can they be made out of aluminum if they are painted? |

The rules allow for some modifications to clear headers, exhaust, turbo or supercharger plumbing etc. What exactly are you planning to do here? Will the factory frame rails still be there along with the shock towers if so equipped? What style car and do you have any photos to post of this set-up? I don't make the rules so I can't answer with 100% accuracy but giving a little better description might help the people that can answer this for you.
This was my old L/S car and I never had any problems in tech with it. As you can see, there is very little of the inner fender structure there. The shock towers and area behind them are still stock but everything in front with the exception of the frame rails was removed. The firewall was still stock too but we did smooth it out using powdercoated aluminum to cover all the holes.

I have a 72 Nova with a Turbo and it has the removable inner fenders. Problem is trying to fit everything in the front and having enough of the original inner fender to make it look like it really belongs there. I could make a set of aluminum ones and mount them a liitle different and it would be a nicer look. I still have all the original front end and firewall in the car. I cant seem to figure out how to post a pic. here. |
