Blackmon and Pennington Double, Szabo Triples
and Jackson Pulls a Rare Grand Slam
Jimmy Blackmon backed up his Saturday win with another victory in Mickey Thompson Outlaw 10.5, this time defeating points leader Joe Newsham in the finals.
Keith Szabo made it three wins in a row in Berry Plumbing Equipment / Sheppard Race Cars Limited Street. The "car killa " Jeff Paulk was runner-up.
TCI EZ Street has become the Steve Jackson show, although he did not do well in the Huntsville Spring Race, he made the trip west this go around worthwhile and followed up his Carolina, Montgomery and SGMP wins for the rare fourth win in a row. Chad Henderson smoked the tires in the finals.
At SGMP Kevin Schrimsher made it to the Modified Street finals but came up a little short. This time he completed the job taking out a troubled Stacy Parker in the finals.
In the Southern Truck Parts 5.0 Index Class, Scott Underwood defeated a red-lighting Clint Abbott for the win.
Michael Strickland took the Dutton Grading 6.0 Index Class win over David Craft. Strickland left first and ran a 6.01 to David's losing 6.02.
Ricky Pennington scored his double by defeating Brandon Hamilton in the I40inc.com 7.0 Index Class. Pennington used a 7.07 to defeat Hamilton's off pace 6.17.
