Jeff Paulk took the win in Sheppard Race Cars/Berry Plumbing and Equipment Limited Street and gained 22 valuable points on runner-up Keith Szabo. Szabo, whom had won the 3 previous ORSCA races qualified third , two spots behind Paulk's 4.79. In the final, Paulk had an .022 reaction and 4.801 ET to hold off Keith's .023 initated 4.808. The margin of victory was eight thousandths of a second.

Once again the TCI EZ Street records fell, Dustin Mewbourn reset the ET record this time with a stout 4.914 and Terry Elam upped his previous MPH record to a 149.95. In the end though, it was Martinez GA's Steve Jackson capturing his fifth win in a row. His 4.94 easily defeated Elam's troubled 5.37.
Stacy Parker scored every available point in the wild Modified Street class. Qualifying number 1, winning the event and resetting both the ET and MPH records. The new records are 5.300 and 135.29 mph. In the finals he defeated Richard Reagn on a holeshot, 5.41 to a losing 5.33.
Israel Deraney scored his second win of the season in the Southern Truck Parts 5.0 class. He too, used a holeshot to defeat Scott Underwood's 5.003 with a 5.007.
The Dutton Grading 6.00 Index Class was decided by a break-out as Scott Flowers used a .022 resction and a 6.025 to force Tim Jones in to a too fast 5.985.
I40.inc 7.00 Index winner Kenny Ford gave his wife a surprise birthday present with his second ORSCA victory ever. In the final, he beat Huntsville winner Ricky Pennington. Ford also won the $500.00 #1 qualifying bonus put up by Shane Beatty of I40.inc and Josh Mackey won the best recation time $500.00 bonus with a perfect .000. |
