Class Description
MODIFIED Street is a heads-up class designed for passenger cars and trucks from a major manufacturer weighing a minimum of 3,200 pounds.  Powered by SMALL BLOCKS ONLY with a maximum cubic inch limit of 440 cubic inches.  Nitrous only one plate only. One nitrous solenoid, One fuel solenoid, One purge solenoid ONLY. One Nitrous bottle only.   Purge must be redundant inline with nitrous supply line with only one supply line. 

All Head combinations weights are as follows

All heads 14.9 degree and under will add 50LBS

All heads 15 degree and above no weight penalty

All canted valve head types will add 100 LBS

 After Market blocks and cylinder heads allowed. Intakes must be cast no welding No sheet metal intakes allowed. Single carburetor only.  Motor plates and solid mounts allowed. Engine in stock location and must not touch firewall.  Mufflers required on all vehicles no inserts. Turbochargers and superchargers are not allowed. Progressive controlers are not allowed. Alcohol is Not allowed

Weight

All vehicles competing start min weight at 3,200 LBS

Body

Stock body lines must be retained.  Fiber glass limited to hood deck lid and bumpers unless equiped from factory with plastic or glass panels.  Hood scoops allowed but must not protrude to halfway point of windshield. No forward facing hood scoops allowed unless equiped from origonal factory manufactor, in which case the factory hood must be retained. All factory glass winows required NO Lexan allowed.  (Trucks May replace rear window with lexan to allow for roll bar.Factory front and rear spoilers allowed. No after market custom wings allowed. Factory grill and headlights required.  Factory core support and inner fender well liners required but may be notched for header or roll bar clearance. Notching rules will be final by Tech officials. Factory floor pans required front to rear but may be notched for subframe connectors, fuel pump, fuel cell, shock exit, Battery Mount,  Wheel base must be within plus or minus one inch of factory specifications.

Interior

Full Interior required this includes factory dash, dash pad, door panels, carpet , stock steering column. Front seats may be replace with aproved safety type racing seats but must have both seats in stock location. Rear seat may be removed but all floor pan must be covered, Dash pad may be notched for roll bar clearance.  No nitrous bottles alloed in passenger compartment.  Nitrous bottles must be in trunk with approved safety vent or in the bed of truck.  Tech decisions final on placement.

Front chassis and suspension

Stock front frame rails and suspension required.  No cutting or notching of frame rails allowed.  After market K-members control arms and bushings allowed as long as they bolt into the stock locations and utilize control arms when equiped. after Market  manual steering gear boxes and rack an pinions allowed.  After market springs and struts allowed as long as they directly bolt into the stock locations. Coil over Kits allowed.

After market bolt in sub-frame allowed. Must bolt in unaltered
stock OEM mounting locations. OEM suspension configuration required. These bolt on subframes must be from a manufacture with desiginated company part numbers and must be produced for the vehicle they were designed for from the manufacturer

Rear Chassis suspension

Stock rear frame rails and suspension required. Minor notching allowed Tech decisions final. Bolt on traction aids only.  No after Market ladder bars or four links allowed.  After market  control arms, springs , shocks allowed must utilize stock mounting points on frame rails.  Relocation of shocks with coil over package allowed. Mini Tubs are allowed Tech decision final.

Firewall

Stock Firewall must be retained and in factory location. Minor notching allowed. Smoothing of firwall allowed for appearance.

Transmission

Any OEM type automatic or manual transmissions allowed.

Electrical

Headlights and taillights required and must be functional. Eletric bracket racing aids optical sensors or pneumatic throttal stop not allowed. Any ignition allowed.

Wheels and tires

All Vehicles must race on 28 x 10.5 slicks or smaller sidewall designation No W tires allowed.  Maximum 12'' wide wheel

No wheelie Bars allowed

Decals

sponsorship decal limited to windows and rear quarter panels  Hood scoop and front bumper and both side of wing only

General rules

Deep staging allowed. All vehicles must cross over scales after every qualifying and elemination rounds.

All qualifying and elemination will be 400 pro tree and placed on a pro ladder.

Matching uniforms or shirts mandatory for all crew members on starting line.  Crew members must exit the starting line after vehicle makes pass.

Rules may be revised / changed as need arises.  All tech decisions are final
